The A Register received the following email together with the photo above.......
Dear Geoff,
Some months ago my wife was organising some old photographs and put up the photo attached as a screen saver. This prompted me to have a look at the MG Car Club website and while I was prowling around the MGA Twin Cam register I was delighted to discover that I once owned one of the cars on the register. I picked the registration of the car listed as being owned by Peter Todd (HDW 373) as my old car. I can provide an additional bit of history about the car which may be of interest to you and the owner.

I purchased the car privately in early 1965 for 700 pounds from a Lew Nyholt in Geelong, where we both lived at that time. I understand I was the third owner but have no idea who the original owner was. I was lead believe the car was not from Geelong but was originally registered in Melbourne. I had the car until late 1967 when I traded it in for a Mini Cooper, prior to getting married. I can’t remember what I received for it at that time but have regretted selling it ever since. At that time there were only two Twin Cams in Geelong, the other, an orangey- coloured one, was owned by a Michael Duigan.

I must point out that the car’s occupants, while still married, don’t look quite as young any more. I still have a Workshop Manual for the car which is in very good condition sitting in the book shelf.
If the opportunity arises I would love to get a look at the car as it is today.

Regards
Graham Taylor
