Potted history from what I know of it:

I first saw the car as a rolling chassis in Bill Manns garage in June this year.  Bill was in the process of restoring it, had done all of the detail work, and was almost ready to assemble the body. I bought it at that stage, on the understanding that Bill would complete the rebuild. I was able to help (or hinder) Bill each Saturday and Bill worked on it full time until we registered it in early October, During the build I was trusted to do some of the work and to take a small howework project home each week, to have it completed by the following Saturday, so I had the satisfaction of at least having some input into the build, as well as learning what goes where in the process.

The registration number GNK 025 was on the registration label on the windscreen, and I managed to get the same number re-allocated by Vicroads.  The label was dated 1976, so I guess that was the last time the car was driven before Bill bought it to restore. There was also a Royal Aero Club of Queensland sticker on the windscreen, so it was apparently in Queensland at some stage.  Apart from a plaque from Lanes Motors in Melbourne indicating initial delivery, I am not sure about the early history of the car.

I believe it was one owner, it has just on 57,000 miles on the odo, and at this stage it is pretty close to as perfect as we could make it.

If anyone knows anything of the early history, I would be very interested.
